A life of crossing doors.

Mohamed Ben signed his first trip in 2011 from a riad in Bab Doukkala. An Arab-Spanish citizen, MBA in hospitality management, former professional footballer across fourteen countries. Before Signed Journey, he spent a decade guiding editors of Vogue Living and AD through his private Morocco, without a website or a public rate.

Today he personally reviews every trip of the year, with no sales intermediaries between the client and him; the team coordinates logistics on the ground. His rule: if he wouldn't take the trip himself with his family, he doesn't sign it. That is why places each season are limited.

«I don't design trips. I design conversations that end in a trip. That's why the calendar is closed: because speaking seriously with each of my travellers is the only thing I know how to do well.»

Origin story · In three acts

How it was born Morocco, written by hand.

  1. I

    Act I

    The silence before

Before signing the first trip, Mohamed spent years guiding friend families through his private Morocco. No website, no rate sheet, no commercial agenda. Just the craft of choosing the right host and tending to the detail from the first call to the last dinner.

    Not to scale. To stay.

  2. II

    Act II

    The letter first signature

One day a call asked for something more serious: a signed week, with a notebook, with clear accounts, with one single voice on the other end throughout the whole trip. It was designed. It was signed. It went well. What is now the journeys we sign each year began like that.

What is signed is kept. What can't be kept is not signed.

  3. III

    Act III

    The hard choice don't scale

A moment came when twice as many trips could be signed with the same structure. The arithmetic said yes. The quality said no. We chose not to sign the eighth. The house keeps choosing the same answer year after year.

Grow in demand, not in volume.

The phases of the method

Five steps to reach your signed journey.

  1. Phase 01

    Conversation

Forty minutes on the phone. No prior form, no rate sheet, no sales pitch. The conversation decides whether we continue.

  2. Phase 02

    Zero notebook

It reaches your home within a week. Thirty pages. Read it over tea. It's there to discuss, not to sign.

  3. Phase 03

    Open calendar

If you decide to go ahead, we open a place in your name in the year's calendar. Cancellation follows the published policy, with no small print.

  4. Phase 04

    Signed trip

Mohamed coordinates every host, every transfer, every private opening. One single interlocutor throughout the trip.

  5. Phase 05

    Final notebook

Sixty days after the return. Photographs, maps, accounts closed to the cent. What happened on the trip is set down in writing.
