Question 1

How long does a first response take?

Accepted Answer

Mohamed answers before nine the next morning, Marrakech time. If you write on a Sunday, by Monday at nine. If you write in August, we tell you when we’re back.

Question 2

What if my preferred month is closed?

Accepted Answer

No waiting list, no negotiation. We propose the next available windows. If they don’t fit, we wait until we open a new calendar.

Question 3

Can I book with less than 21 days’ notice?

Accepted Answer

Exceptionally yes, if Mohamed knows your city and availability fits. Call the landline, don’t write. We handle these cases by voice.

Question 4

What documents do I need?

Accepted Answer

A passport valid for at least 6 more months. Visa requirements depend on your nationality: we send you a personalised checklist and recommend confirming them with official sources before you travel.

Question 5

How much is the deposit?

Accepted Answer

35% when you accept the proposal and the balance 30 days before the trip, as stated in your proposal. The payment method is confirmed in writing; no payment is considered made until we confirm it.

Question 6

Are cards accepted?

Accepted Answer

Currently by bank transfer. Card payments will be enabled once our payment provider is set up; if available for your trip, we will say so in your proposal.

Question 7

Is there a discount for early payment?

Accepted Answer

No. Our fee is our fee. No surcharge for 30-day payment either — everything is the same.

Question 8

Which currency?

Accepted Answer

Euros by default. We can quote in USD, GBP or CHF; the currency is fixed in writing in your proposal.

Question 9

Do you accept cryptocurrencies?

Accepted Answer

No. Due to Spanish tax compliance, we accept only euro and registered convertible currencies.

Question 10

Is the flight included?

Accepted Answer

No. No airline affiliations. We help you find the best connections (no cost, no commission), but you pay directly.

Question 11

Do we bring our own car?

Accepted Answer

Not necessary. Private vehicle with driver-coordinator from airport to airport. Distances are long; driving in Morocco without prior experience is demanding.

Question 12

What if we go with young children?

Accepted Answer

We recommend from age 6 because of the distances. We arrange approved car seats and children's options, and give you local medical contacts for each stage. Hassan has a five-year-old son and gives children a particularly warm welcome in the Atlas.

Question 13

What if I’m vegetarian / vegan / kosher / halal / gluten-free?

Accepted Answer

We speak with each host weeks ahead. Marrakech has extraordinary vegetable tradition. Halal by default. Kosher with extra planning. Gluten-free 100% feasible.

Question 14

What if it rains?

Accepted Answer

Plan B always ready. Sahara with rain (rare), we relocate to an alternative riad in Erfoud and refund the price difference. Happened once in 2024.

Question 15

Cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

There’s a full page at /cancelaciones with the exact policy + 3 anonymised real cases.

Question 16

What if you cancel?

Accepted Answer

Zero times in six years. If it ever happened: a 100% refund within 48 hours plus 15% compensation for the inconvenience.

Question 17

Credit transferable to a relative?

Accepted Answer

Yes, to a direct relative (spouse, child, parent). 18 months validity. One transfer only.

Question 18

Do you share data with third parties?

Accepted Answer

Never. Your data is kept in a private database, accessible only to the people handling your trip. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party trackers.

Question 19

What about the trip photos?

Accepted Answer

Ours (taken by Inés) we use on /diario only if we sign a release with you. Yours are yours — we ask permission for nothing.

Question 20

Accepted Answer

Only in signed testimonials at /alumni if you authorise in writing after the trip. Never by default.

Question 21

Accepted Answer

Deletion on written request to hola@signedjourney.com, except data the law requires us to keep. Reply within one month at most.

Question 23

Accepted Answer

Operations base in Marrakech and administrative office in Barcelona. Visits by appointment only.

Question 24

How much do you charge?
