Why Morocco · An honest argument
Five reasons for. Two against.
Morocco isn’t for everyone. If you pass these seven tests, few reasons remain not to come. If you fail any, better to know before.
Five reasons in favour
What Morocco
keeps safeguarding.
- 01
2h45 from Barajas
Marrakech is closer to Madrid than the Canary Islands. A private jet drops you on the tarmac in 2h45 from Barajas. No equivalent luxury destination is this close.
- 02
Five climates in twelve hours
Atlantic, Sahara, Atlas (3,000 m), medina (1,500 m) and Mediterranean coast. Car, jet or helicopter let you change landscape in a single day.
- 03
Riads still in private hands
Unlike Capri or Mykonos, Marrakech still has 18th-century riads in family hands that aren’t for sale. Access by introduction only.
- 04
Hosts beyond contract
The six hosts we sign work with no other agency. It isn’t paid exclusivity — it’s their choice. They’ve turned down better contracts to keep quality.
- 05
No paparazzi · No social media
Local culture doesn’t photograph guests. No hotel paparazzi. The media silence is a feature of the destination, not a purchasable service.
And two reasons against
What we don’t offer.
- ·
Not if you seek absolute time certainty
The Atlas in March may cancel 1 day in 5. The wind in Erg Chebbi in May may shift a dinner 24 hours. If you don’t accept that flexibility, be honest: it isn’t your destination.
- ·
Not if you compare price per night
One of our signed riads costs €1,200–2,400/night. Compared to a standard Dubai palace at €800, the maths doesn’t work. Here you pay for inaccessibility, not for comfort.

Morocco has always been this way. What has changed is the number of travellers who confuse luxury with comfort. The first demands patience. The second doesn’t.
